About the venue
A lovingly restored farm hamlet on a private Berkshire estate rooted in over two centuries of history, exclusively yours, with three ceremony spaces, the Grade II listed Castle Barn for 250, estate-to-plate dining and 26 bedrooms sleeping 64.
Rooted in more than two centuries of history, Wasing is a private estate near Newbury bringing together celebration, nature and wellbeing. At its heart is the lovingly restored traditional farm hamlet, where romantic farm buildings sit alongside the 15th-century Parish Church of St Nicholas, the majestic Grade II listed Castle Barn, a Granary perched on its staddle stones and a fairy-tale Dovecote.
Wasing Park is exclusively yours for the day. Couples can say 'I do' in a choice of three ceremony spaces, including a Victorian Summerhouse and a glass-walled Garden Room. The Castle Barn is the ultimate reception and party space, seating up to 140 for dining and 250 in the evening, with a year-round al fresco terrace, a blank canvas for styling and phenomenal acoustics.
Catering is bespoke, and the estate's own organic farm supplies beef from its herd of Sussex cattle for a sustainable Nose-to-Tail menu, true estate-to-plate dining. Guests regularly praise the food as the best they have had at a wedding.
There are 26 luxurious bedrooms sleeping up to 64, from heritage cottages to elegant suites, plus a Honeymoon Suite, a bridal cottage for the night before, a groom's room and a late-night after-party bar. Beyond weddings, the estate hosts retreats, festivals and corporate events, with wild swimming, a sauna, fisheries and a marina.
