A family-owned barn venue in the rolling hills of the South Downs, built around a charming courtyard of restored flint barns and exclusively yours for the day. Up to 150 daytime and 170 evening guests, a licensed Stable Bar and Jasmine Cottage for the wedding night.

Nestled among the rolling hills of the South Downs National Park, Upwaltham Barns is a lovingly restored, family-owned barn wedding venue in West Sussex. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and relaxed, a secluded country idyll that is exclusively yours on your day.

Built around a charming central courtyard, the venue brings together two flint stone barns and converted stone farm buildings, all restored with weddings in mind. Ceremonies take place in a rustic setting, and receptions move to the South Barn, where decorative brickwork and authentic wooden beams glow with tealights and fairy lights beneath wrought-iron chandeliers. Up to 150 guests can join by day and 170 in the evening.

The Stable Bar is a fully licensed bar run by father-and-daughter team Stephen and Isobel, offering bespoke drinks packages, and a Moroccan-inspired snug gives guests a cosy chill-out area. In the kitchen, sisters Kate and Claire of Nibbles2Nosh create high-quality homemade menus to suit every taste and budget.

The new Orchard Room is a calm, light-filled preparation space with hair and make-up stations and a fridge for bubbles. To finish the day, Jasmine Cottage is a private, romantic hideaway with a roll-top bath and a hand-carved king-size bed.
