The Warnham Barn at Rookwood

About the venue

Restored 17th-century Sussex barn at Rookwood golf course, walking distance from Horsham town centre. Seats 80 for a wedding breakfast and 100 for an evening party, with a licensed bar, a mezzanine meeting room and pitch and putt on the doorstep.

Guests at The Warnham Barn can play nine holes of pitch and putt before dinner, with clubs, balls and tees supplied. Trainers will do, though the venue says checked sweaters are optional.

The barn dates from the 17th century and stands at Rookwood, a golf course on the edge of Horsham. It has been restored with its oak beams and high ceilings intact, and it holds a fully licensed bar and function space.

Warnham village and Horsham town centre are both within walking distance. Crawley is about ten minutes' drive away.

The barn seats up to 80 for a formal meal and takes 100 for an evening reception. That size suits smaller wedding receptions and engagement parties, which can start with Champagne on the terrace.

Upstairs, a mezzanine works as a meeting room for groups of 8 to 30. It opens onto a private veranda, and water, mints and wifi come free with the booking.

Parties cover milestone birthdays, engagements, club awards evenings and dinner dances. The team puts together a bespoke package for each one, with canapés, live entertainment or a DJ added as needed.

At Christmas the barn runs festive party nights and Christmas lunches. Sample menus cover wedding breakfasts, barbecues, buffets and canapés.

During the day the barn serves breakfast, sandwiches and lunch to anyone passing. A large free car park sits alongside.
