The Historic Dockyard Chatham is an internationally important Age of Sail dockyard just 35 miles from central London, with 400 years of history across 80 acres. Genuine Georgian and Victorian buildings, cobbled streets, warehouses, docksides and three historic warships give it a character no modern venue can match.

At the heart of the estate, the Commissioner's House has held centuries of celebrations, laughter and love stories. Meticulously restored, it becomes your home for the day, an elegant canvas for every chapter of a wedding, from an intimate ceremony to a full reception. Weddings range from 15 to 200 guests, with packages including up to 70 day guests and 120 in the evening.

The historic venues are equipped with modern facilities for events of all sizes, from intimate gatherings and smaller meetings to celebrations and corporate events for more than 200 guests. The dockyard is also a sought-after film location.

Exhibition galleries such as Command of the Oceans and The Ropery, and more than 70,000 objects, bring the story of the dockyard and its people to life. It is cared for by the independent charity Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust.
