Built in 1568, rebuilt as the Georgian house you see today in 1751 and welcoming hotel guests since 1958, Taplow House Hotel & Spa is a family-owned, four-star, Grade II listed country house on Berry Hill in Taplow, set in beautiful gardens with views of a historic Tulip Tree. It lies just a short walk from Taplow station and the Elizabeth Line, with Windsor, Marlow, Ascot and Henley close by and Heathrow around 20 minutes away by car, and is part of a small collection of family-owned sister hotels.

For weddings, the whole house can be made exclusively yours, with all 30 bedrooms for your guests so you can celebrate, dine and stay together in complete privacy under one roof. The personalised wedding package includes your choice of an indoor or outdoor ceremony, a dedicated Master of Ceremonies, white tablecloths and napkins, a wedding cake stand and knife, and a complimentary menu tasting for two, and the wedding team arranges private viewings.

The ground-floor Grenfell Room, filled with natural daylight, air-conditioned and overlooking the gardens, hosts meetings for 20 boardroom-style, private dining for 22, 36 informal seating and 60 standing. Exclusive use for conferences and private events adds the Garden Room, the Drawing Room with its ceiling-height windows and terrace views, and all 30 bedrooms. The day delegate rate, from £80 per person, includes room hire, three servings of tea, coffee and homemade snacks, a two-course working buffet lunch, a screen, flipchart, parking and Wi-Fi, while the 24-hour rate, from £275, adds a three-course dinner, overnight accommodation, full English breakfast and use of the spa facilities.

Private dining in the Grenfell Room suits everything from milestone birthdays and anniversary dinners to corporate gatherings and festive celebrations, with event, canapé, finger buffet and afternoon tea menus. Day to day, guests dine in the Garden Room restaurant, with dinner at £45 for three courses, the fireside Bar, the Drawing Room, the Grenfell Lounge and the terrace, with afternoon tea from £34.95, Sunday lunches, festive dining throughout December, a Christmas fair and wreath-making afternoons.

Bedrooms range from Classic doubles and twins to Deluxe and Executive doubles and Junior Suites with separate lounges, with Temple Spa toiletries, air-conditioning and dog-friendly rooms. The spa, awarded five bubbles by The Good Spa Guide, offers six treatment rooms, a nail bar and pedicure room, a sauna, a glazed conservatory, a spa lounge and an outdoor spa pool, with spa days and spa breaks, including a Perfect Proposal package.
