South Lodge is a breathtaking five-star country house hotel set within 93 acres of stunning Sussex countryside, with views across the South Downs. It is a place to disconnect from screens and reconnect with what matters.

Weddings can begin with an outdoor ceremony at the wrought-iron pavilion for up to 180 guests, or a civil ceremony in the Wordsworth room, followed by a grand reception for up to 180 in Gladstone. Meeting spaces and private dining cater for up to 130 delegates.

Dining is a highlight. The Pass holds a Michelin star and offers a seasonal chef's table experience, Camellia celebrates fresh produce from the South Lodge walled garden, and Botanica serves a flavour-packed, dairy-free, zero-waste menu that has earned the Sustainable Restaurant Association's highest accolade.

The spa, named Spa of the Year at the AA Hospitality Awards 2023, takes its inspiration from nature and its views from the South Downs, combining innovative treatments with state-of-the-art fitness facilities. With 88 bedrooms, guests can make a weekend of it.
