About the venue

The Royal Horticultural Society's flagship garden near Woking, with 240 acres and a dozen hireable spaces. Couples marry at a Chinese-style pavilion by the lake and dine in the Glasshouse for 140. Hilltop takes 320 theatre style, and marquee sites hold 500.

By day the Glasshouse at RHS Garden Wisley holds the society's tender plant collection and is open to the public. From six in the evening it can be hired exclusively, so guests dine among tropical plants and waterfalls. It seats 140, or 180 standing, and is available in June, July and August. Drinks are served first on the Glasshouse Terrace above the lake.

Wisley covers 240 acres near Woking, and the venue team hires out about a dozen spaces across the garden. Ceremonies take place at the Butterfly Lovers Pavilion, a Chinese-style pavilion by the lake on Seven Acres. It seats 150 under mature trees. The Waterlily Pavilion was once a potting shed. It stands at the end of the Jellicoe Canal and looks back towards the Laboratory building.

Hilltop, the garden's science centre, opened in June 2021. Its Garden Room measures 315 square metres and takes 320 theatre style or 200 for dinner. The Atrium takes 400 standing among the Plant Science exhibitions under a glass-vaulted roof. Above them, the two-tier Sky Terrace looks across the whole garden.

Smaller rooms include the Tulip Tree Room, with conservatory doors onto Seven Acres, and the Oakwood Room for 110 theatre style. Two Hilltop boardrooms seat eight and 12. For larger events, marquee sites in the grounds hold up to 500.
