About the venue

Tudor and Gothic country house hotel in 40 acres of the New Forest near Brockenhurst. Weddings take 130 for the ceremony and meal and 200 in the evening, in the Great Hall or at the outdoor Doric Temple. Nine meeting rooms hold up to 160 delegates, and the hotel has 50 bedrooms, indoor and outdoor pools and free parking.

The walls and ceiling of the Alhambra Room at Rhinefield House are covered in Persian onyx, Venetian glass and Moorish copperwork. It is the most ornate of the rooms in this 19th-century mansion, which mixes Tudor and Gothic styles. The house sits in 40 acres of private grounds deep in the New Forest National Park, about three miles from Brockenhurst station.

Guests arrive along a drive lined with Canadian redwoods and copper beeches. The Great Hall inside is a replica of Westminster Hall, with a ceiling more than 11 metres high. The Armada Restaurant has carved wood panelling and a pale pink marble fireplace, and sources much of its menu from New Forest suppliers. Rhinefield is the only AA four Red Star hotel in the New Forest.

Couples can marry in the Great Hall or outdoors at the Doric Temple, with 130 guests for the ceremony and meal and 200 in the evening. Packages cost between £164 and £253 per person, and exclusive use is available. The gardens have ornamental ponds, fountains and terraces for photographs.

For business, Hurst Castle is a self-contained conference centre with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the forest. It holds 160 theatre style and divides into two suites. The main house adds traditional meeting rooms, nine spaces in all.

The hotel has 50 bedrooms, indoor and outdoor pools, a gym and treatments, and welcomes dogs.
