About the venue

Wedding and event spaces inside the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, including the Temperate House for dinners of 250 and the Nash Conservatory for ceremonies of 200. Packages cover classic, luxury and South Asian weddings, and the Orangery and Nash Conservatory host corporate events.

The Nash Conservatory at Kew was first built in the grounds of Buckingham Palace, and in 1836 it was moved to Kew brick by brick. It is now one of several historic buildings that Kew hires out for weddings and events, in gardens that are a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Richmond.

The Temperate House is the world's largest Victorian glasshouse and holds more than 10,000 plant species from the temperate regions. Between 15 April and 30 September it opens in the evening for dinners of 250 or dinner dances of 230. The Grade I listed Orangery seats 230 for dinner and holds 400 standing, and the Princess of Wales Conservatory, with ten climate zones, is used for drinks.

Civil ceremonies take place in the Nash Conservatory for up to 200 guests. Cambridge Cottage, a former home of the Duke of Cambridge with its own Duke's Garden, takes ceremonies of 80. It is closed for refurbishment between 1 September 2026 and 31 August 2027.

Wedding packages combine these buildings. The Classic package uses the Nash Conservatory for the ceremony and the Orangery for the dinner dance, while the Luxury package ends in the Temperate House. Two South Asian packages start with a religious blessing in the Nash Conservatory. During the drinks, couples can tour the Gardens by escorted buggy for photographs.
