Calverley Park lies right behind Hotel du Vin Tunbridge Wells, and the suites look straight out over it. The hotel occupies a Grade II listed sandstone mansion on Crescent Road, first built as a private house, and its Georgian features were kept when it was converted. The Pantiles and Tunbridge Wells Common are both within walking distance.

There are 34 rooms and suites across the main house and the Cottage building. The suites have Emperor beds, roll-top baths and large walk-in monsoon showers. Bistro du Vin serves French-inspired food, and the Burgundy Bar pours from a long wine list, with tastings and masterclasses led by the sommelier.

Weddings centre on the Lombard, which seats 80 for the wedding breakfast and holds 100 for drinks. The bistro seats 70, the Havana 30, Ashe Park 16 and the Mouton Rothschild 10. In the warmer months the terrace takes 120 for a Champagne reception beside the lawn, and the whole hotel can be booked exclusively.

Three meeting rooms handle most business events, with the Lombard holding 60 theatre-style. Day delegate rates start at £45. Corporate retreats, from £235 a person, can include curling at the Tunbridge Wells Curling Club or clay shooting at a school in rural Kent.
