Boutique hotel in a cluster of Gothic and mock Tudor buildings in Brighton's Lanes, with 49 rooms, Bistro du Vin and six private rooms. The Dome seats 100 for a wedding banquet, intimate wedding packages cover 15 to 30 guests, and meetings take up to 90.

The Sea View Suites at Hotel du Vin Brighton come with a telescope and twin roll-top baths in the bedroom. They are part of a group of eccentric Gothic and mock Tudor buildings on Ship Street, in the Lanes, which the hotel calls Brighton's former fishing village. The seafront is at the bottom of the street.

There are 49 bedrooms and suites. All have handsprung mattresses, Egyptian linen and drench showers, plus air conditioning and Nespresso machines. The Signature Suite is a beamed loft with an Emperor bed, twin monsoon showers and a small private roof terrace with side views of the sea. Downstairs, Bistro du Vin cooks classical French dishes, and the bar stays open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

Weddings and private dinners use six rooms of different sizes. The Dome seats 100 for a banquet and holds 120 for drinks, and the Lombard seats 48. Smaller parties can take the SMWS Snug, the Ridgeview for 30, the Screwpull for 14 or the Bloomsbury Room for 10. The sommelier helps couples choose wines, and the cellar holds up to 400.

The same rooms work as meeting spaces, with The Dome holding 90 theatre-style. Day delegate packages start at £50. A corporate retreat package starts at £279 a person and covers meetings, meals and a night's stay. Brighton Boating can add sailing or a sunset cruise.
