About the venue

180-acre regenerative family farm in the Surrey Hills near Bramley, with an oak Barn seating 150 built from trees lost in the 1987 hurricane. Weddings with two licensed outdoor ceremony spots, corporate days for up to 200 and eight places to stay on site.

Gate Street keeps Mangalitsa pigs, a rare Hungarian breed with a coat of curly hair, alongside English Longhorn cattle and Lleyn sheep. The 180-acre family farm sits in the Surrey Hills at Bramley, about 20 minutes south of Guildford, and is farmed regeneratively. Its meat and produce are sold through a click-and-collect farm shop.

The Barn is the heart of the venue. It was built in the traditional style from oak trees the farm lost in the 1987 hurricane, and it seats 150. The Orangery walkway links it to the Pheasantry bar, with its log burner, and leads out to the Wedding Garden. The Granary, the Atrium and the compact Old Dairy add space for smaller groups.

Eight places to stay are spread around the farm. The Farmhouse sleeps 14 and has open fires in winter and a heated pool in summer, and the White House sleeps 11. The Hayloft, a converted wood shed, is a hideaway for two. The old Stork Hut was moved beneath a large beech tree behind Farmhouse Avenue, so it is now called the Beech Hut.

The venue has 20 years of weddings behind it, and also runs supper clubs, seasonal markets and a lambing experience each spring. Registered charities can use the Barn free of charge on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays outside busy wedding periods, subject to availability. Parking is unlimited, with EV chargers.
