About the venue

Family-run venue at Bo Peep Farm near Adderbury, with an 18th-century Grade II listed barn and a giant tipi. Hosts weddings of up to 140 in the barn or 200 in the tipi, plus corporate days, Christmas parties and private events, with in-house catering.

Dovecote Barn was once called Park Corner Barn and belonged to the Adderbury House estate, built by the Duke of Argyll. The 18th-century building is Grade II listed, with exposed brick, oak beams and a gallery above the main floor.

It stands at Bo Peep Farm on the Aynho Road outside Adderbury, close to Banbury and the M40. The family-run business hires out the barn and a giant tipi, each in its own corner of the farm.

The barn is licensed for ceremonies and seats 100 for a meal between May and September. Evening numbers reach 140, and in the colder months the limits drop to 80 by day and 120 at night.

The tipi is three giant interlinked tipis with a separate bar tent and a baby tipi for chilling out. It seats 120 for dinner and holds 200 for an evening party, with wooden floors, oak doors and fire pits outside.

A paddock beside the gardens is licensed for outdoor ceremonies under willow arches. The barn sits a short walk away if the weather turns.

The bar area and courtyard next to the barn were recently refurbished, with more heated and sheltered space. A heated marquee adjoins the barn in winter.

In-house chefs cook everything, and the bar is fully staffed. Couples booking a full day may still bring their own daytime drinks without paying corkage.

Parking is free and the gate is staffed by intercom. There is no accommodation on site, and camping is not allowed.
