About the venue

Privately owned hotel, spa and pay-and-play golf club in parkland just outside Newbury. Ceremonies are licensed in the Cromwell Suite and Greens, wedding breakfasts seat up to 140, eight meeting rooms take groups of up to 140, and there are 111 bedrooms.

The last four holes of Donnington & Co.'s par-71 course are, by the club's own account, among the most demanding finishes in the country. The course measures 6,221 yards from the back tees across 120 acres. It is pay-and-play, so anyone can book a tee time, and the clubhouse is Snelsmore House, a Grade II listed building.

The privately owned hotel sits in parkland just outside Newbury, on the M4 corridor. It has 111 bedrooms, and the Suites and Splendid Suites come with separate lounges. Some ground-floor rooms take dogs.

PRESS is the main restaurant, holding two AA Rosettes and an AA Notable Wine List. The cellar lists more than 200 wines, 30 of them by the glass, with bottles from India alongside Bordeaux. Lunch and all-day food are served in the Bar and Mezzanine. In summer The HangOut runs a live-fire barbecue outside.

The spa has an 18-metre pool, a sauna, steam room and aromatherapy room, and a gym with Matrix equipment. Treatments use TEMPLESPA and Germaine de Capuccini products, and spa days start at £65. The hotel holds an ECOsmart Gold Award for 2025.

Events take place in eight meeting rooms, which also host weddings and private parties. For bigger numbers, the group's sister venue The Post Barn is nearby.
