About the venue

Exclusive-use barn wedding venue beside Cooling Castle in Kent, with central London about 35 minutes away. Up to 160 for the ceremony and wedding breakfast and 250 in the evening, with the couple's Master Suite and 15 en-suite guest bedrooms on site.

Each year the team at Cooling Castle Barn spends three full days dressing the barns for Christmas. Because it takes so long, the trees, wreaths and lights stay up for the whole of December, and every wedding that month gets them.

The venue sits in the Kent village of Cooling, beside the castle Sir John de Cobham built in the 1380s. Only one wedding is held each day, and the previous couple's guests check out by 11am.

The day moves between named buildings. Couples get ready in the Moat House, marry at the outdoor Pavilion or in the Fathom Barn, and gather for drinks in the Heritage Barn. The wedding breakfast and the evening party are in the Tithe Barn, where fairy lights wrap every post.

Up to 160 guests can attend the ceremony and wedding breakfast, and 250 the evening.

Every package includes the couple's wedding night in the Master Suite, which spans two floors of the Moat House. Fifteen en-suite guest bedrooms can be reserved together for £2,250, breakfast included.

Packages for 2028 start at £7,800 and include food cooked by the in-house chefs. The barns are heated, and the M2 is ten minutes away.
