Clock Barn

About the venue

A 19th-century threshing barn near Whitchurch, Hampshire, with a thatched coronation clock at the gate. The Main Barn seats 160 and takes 200 in the evening, ceremonies run in three rooms or outdoors, and 23 bedrooms are on site.

Clock Barn held its first wedding in 2004. The family had moved onto the working farm in 1997, hosted a celebration of their own in the empty barn, and realised it suited other people's occasions too.

The building was a large aisled threshing barn, built in the 1800s. The thatched clock at the entrance was put up by a previous owner for Queen Elizabeth II's coronation in 1953.

The Main Barn has a vaulted ceiling, permanent fairy lights and the venue's cream bunting. It takes 160 for a ceremony or wedding breakfast and 200 in the evening. The Dancefloor holds ceremonies for 85, and the Stable Room, with its big fireplace, takes 50. Outdoor vows happen in The Paddock or on the Farmhouse lawn.

Twenty-three bedrooms let guests stay. There are nine in the restored Farmhouse and twelve in Rose Barn, which opened in 2024, plus The Hayloft honeymoon suite and Lavender Barn.

All food comes from the in-house caterer, Venue Catering and Events Ltd. The barn sits among farmland and thatched buildings, so fireworks, sparklers, sky lanterns and fire pits are banned. Bubbles and flower petals are fine in the garden but not inside.

Whitchurch station is 2.3 miles away, and Winchester is within easy reach. Corporate events, summer parties and Christmas parties use the same spaces.
