Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa

About the venue

A New Forest hotel in Brockenhurst with SenSpa, a Thai-inspired spa of over 22,000 sq ft that won Gold at the Beautiful South Awards 2024. Ceremonies for up to 100, wedding breakfasts for 100, evening receptions for 150, and meeting suites for 150.

In December 1943, Canadian troops based at Careys Manor threw a children's Christmas party. Some local children tasted ice cream and peanut butter there for the first time.

The house has older roots. Charles II gave the old manor to John Carey for services rendered between 1660 and 1685. The present house was built in 1888 and became a hotel in the 1930s.

Today it has two restaurants, Cambium and the Thai Zen Garden, and the Neigh Bar. KASI, a new Indian restaurant, opens on 4 November 2026.

SenSpa opened in 2004 after a £6 million rebuild, and now covers more than 22,000 square feet. It has four thermal rooms, including a steam room built around a large amethyst crystal. In 2024 it won Gold for Spa and Wellbeing Experience of the Year at the Beautiful South Awards.

For weddings, The Lounge has a high panelled ceiling and original oak beams. The Cedar Suite has a private entrance and a walled garden with a handmade oak pavilion for outdoor ceremonies. Up to 100 can be seated for a ceremony there, and up to 150 come for the evening.

Meetings use the Cedar and Manor suites, each for up to 150, and the Beech Room for 50. Brockenhurst station has direct trains from London.
