About the venue

The South East's largest reservoir, 800 acres of water in the High Weald on the Kent and Sussex border. The waterside Boat House takes 100 standing or 80 seated for meetings, away days and private parties, with in-house catering and parties licensed until 1am.

Under Bewl Water lies a drowned valley. Farmland, orchards and parts of an old village went under when the River Bewl was dammed in 1975, and traces still surface when the water runs low.

The reservoir is now the largest stretch of open water in the South East, covering 800 acres of the High Weald on the Kent and East Sussex border. Thirteen miles of shoreline wind through ancient woodland, meadow and quiet coves.

Events happen in The Boat House, which sits at the water's edge with panoramic glazing over the reservoir. It holds 100 standing or 80 seated, and the licence allows parties to run until 1am. The in-house team caters for the whole day, starting with breakfast briefings and ending with dinner and dancing.

Companies use the grounds for activities between sessions. Woodland laser tag and dragon boat racing are on the list. So are sailing, paddleboarding and, in season, the Wibit floating obstacle course. Archery and axe throwing can also be arranged.

Film crews know the place well. The Mercy, a trailer for Assassin's Creed Valhalla and a Stella McCartney x Adidas campaign were all shot here.

The site is just off the A21, about an hour from London and 35 minutes from the coast, with plenty of parking.
